Create account

4 to 23 letters or numbers. You type this to log in. Your character gets its own name later, in the game.

6 to 23 characters, no spaces.

The game asks for it when you delete a character.

You get this from the person who invited you.

How to start playing

You need a Windows computer. Do this once, then you only need step 4 each time you play.

  1. Create your account

    Use the form at the top of this page. Write down your username and password somewhere safe.

  2. Download the game

    Download RO Classic (4.3 GB)

    Everything is in this one file: the game, the English translation, and the connection to our server. It is big, so give it some time.

  3. Unzip it

    Right-click the downloaded file and choose Extract All. Type C:\ as the place to extract to, then press Extract. You get a folder called C:\RO Classic.

  4. Play

    Open the C:\RO Classic folder and double-click ROClassic. Log in with your username and password. The first time, the game asks you to make a 4-digit PIN. Remember it, because you need it every time you log in.

    If Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway. This shows up because the game is not from the Microsoft Store.

Experience and item drops are the same as the official game. Leveling takes time, and that is part of the fun.
No shortcuts
No warpers, no autoloot, no bots. You walk, you explore, you party up.
Deleting a character
The game asks for your birthday, then waits 24 hours before the character is gone.
Forgot your password?
Ask the person who runs the server to reset it. If you remember it and just want a new one, use Change password.
